Shaolin Chuan Fa School of Chinese Boxing promotes the health (physical, mental, spiritual) of its members through fostering the growth of Eastern martial and yogic arts. No one school, style, system or culture has a monopoly on truth, therefore we encourage a cross-cultural approach for the seeker of self-development and knowledge. The SCFCB system includes Combat Arts, Health and Fitness Arts, Meditation Arts. These arts include 340 ch’uan fa self-defense techniques, the Five Animal forms, fist sets from Cha, Honan, and and Choi Li Fut schools, a dozen weapon sets, two styles of T’ai-chi Ch’uan, Xing-I Ch’uan, Pa-Kua Chang, Chi Kung.

 

The curriculum offered is geared towards the serious, long-term student. The School and its offerings are backed by the International Chinese Boxing Association, through which a student-member may earn rank recognized world-wide.

 

The Director of the School, GrandMaster Edward Orem, is guiding Costa Rica’s entry into the world of Chinese Martial Arts. With over 40 years involvement in martial training, he is the representative for the country within the International Chinese Boxing Assn., and is a permanent member of the Board of Directors of the ICBA.
